Flame of Hope is a celebration of Christian faith for our villages today, and for the future. Between 12-27th May 2012 village churches will link with each other in: a Pilgrimage of Hope, a wide range of celebratory events, and a deanery–wide team, supported by an African choir tour: ‘Uganda Fire’.
A Vision Despite all the uncertainties of these times in which we live, our villages are home to people who faithfully sustain communities & precious environments. Midweek, some exercise influence on a far wider, even international, scale. Ancient churches, active volunteers, social events and village schools all bear witness to the quiet inspiration of a faith passed down to our generation.
In May, we want to celebrate the hope of our communities, and pass it on. ‘Flame of Hope’ will depend on the prayer and participation of all of us.
